Comments, Questions, Input, Ideas, and Thanks from ITSC

Thanks to everyone that attended my presentations at ITSC in Portland, Oregon. It was truly a learning and enjoyable experience for me, and I hope I was able to get some of you started with your own Johnny Lee wiimote whiteboards.

If you would like to ask questions or leave comments, please comment on this post and I'll do my best to find an answer.

Sincerely,

John Sperry

Wiimote Whiteboard vs Industrial Product

In case you want to know how Johnny Lee's Wiimote Whiteboard compares to the multi-thousand dollar industrial products, here you go. A comparison made by a teacher.

Build Your Own IR Light Pen

One of the biggest issues with the Wiimote Whiteboard is the Infrared Light Pen required to operate the whiteboard. Despite the fact that there are IR light pens available online, it is much more cost effective to build one yourself if you have the inclination.

Here are two tutorials that you can find on You Tube. The first is from Ken Moore. The video can be found on his blog kenmooredesign.com. Ken has written instructions on his blog as well. There is a link to it in the "Essential Wiimote Links" list to the right.

The second video is one that I made. Both videos are very similar.
